Teeth and Turkey

I have wanted to post for a while now. This topic is over a week old, but it is still big news that I want to record. Lawry got his first tooth on Thanksgiving day. It is one of his bottom middle teeth. Just in time to try real mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving at his grandmother's house. He also reached to hug my mom, which I think made her whole day. It is pretty amazing. On weekend mornings, Lawry, Andrew, and I will just lay in bed for a bit before getting up to start our day. He will look at me and then reach out his wonderful, little arms to hug me. I give him a big hug. He will do the same thing to Andrew. We do this as a family multiple times. Best way to start the day! Warm fuzzies swim around in my stomach and heart with each reach of his arms.

Lawry now has two, count them, two bottom teeth. Luckily, he has not bitten me while eating. He is such a good boy. The day after Thanksgiving, we ventured out for some Black Friday shopping and put up our first family Christmas tree. Andrew and I normally do not do a tree, but it is different now, like everything else. I bought decorations and a tree topper. I think it looks amazing. Lawry likes to grab at the ornaments. I got one for his first Christmas: a pig in honor of his Korean birthday. I too like to stare at the tree. I'm proud of it, like I'm proud of him and our family.
